some random thoughts on a night off for the yankees and sox alcs:
→ the apprentice is not nearly as entertaining as it was last year.
→ i wonder what the population of birds is on the whole planet?
→ do cats really always land on their feet? did someone do a study?
→ who named all the types of trees? this stuff boggles my mind.
→ McDonald’s has raspberry flavored shakes and they’re damn good.
→ i am reading good things about Team America World Police.
→ “I went to the doctor because I’d swallowed a bottle of sleeping pills. My doctor told me to have a few drinks and get some rest.” -Rodney Dangerfield
update→ The yankees have gotten 2 very strong starting pitching performances out of mussina and lieber. they now have a solid 2-0 series lead headed back to boston.
tonight begins the american league championship series and the renewal of the greatest rivalry in all of sports. the yankees and red sox play for the right to go to the world series. let’s get a few things straight - i hate the red sox, every single one of them. i love the yankees, every single one of them. the yanks rule and the red sux lose, that is how it is meant to be and how it will continue to be. i expect this series to be long and tough and i wouldn’t be surprised to see them playing another incredible game 7. however, my prediction is that the new york yankees will win this series in 6 games. they will beat schilling at least once, possibly game 1 because i expect mussina to pitch a excellant game tonight. he is starting to pitch at a very high level and i see it culminating in a great start tonight. so there’s the pick : yankees win in 6 games. no need for arron ‘f*cking’ boone to homer this year, though i have a feeling bostonians will be saying derek ‘f*cking’ jeter after this series.
