Tough Year in Sports
This has been a tough year in sports for Rob. In the last 7 months this is what has occured to his beloved teams:
- My Lakers were shocked in the NBA Finals by the Pistons, then Shaq was traded away and Phil Jackson quit or was let go which basically ended the dynasty
- My Yankees were shocked by the Red Sox in the AlCS, blowing a 3 games to none lead, then seeing Boston win their first World Series in ‘86 years
- My Steelers, who had won 15 straight, were beaten by the Patriots in the AFC Championship game at home, where they have lost that game 4 times in 9 years
- Also, earlier in the year I had to live through both UConn men’s and womens basketball teams winning the NCAA Championships

I’ve had both ends of the spectrum. The Sox pulled off the BIGGEST COMBACK IN SPORTS HISTORY to beat the Yanks and then sweep the Cards for their first title in 86 years. But the Dolphins sucked shit and claimed the #2 pick in the draft, as the Pats dominated and went to their 3rd Super Bowl in 3 years. Saban’s here tho!
The Lakeshow is in ruins, but the Boston College Eagles are one of TWO undefeated teams in College Basketball and currently ranked #8.
GO EAGLES!
Rob
pretty bad, but the Sox winning is worth 10 years of pain from all of your teams. wouldn’t you say?
God please win Eagles, please.
Jules
It sure is. But how about BC!!!!!!!!!!!
Rob
