First off, I added another sidebar where I’ve placed a weekly poll feature and along with that a new live chatbox. I’ll see if either of them get enough play to justify keeping them up. If the chatbox gets a lot of action, I may end up moving it to it’s own page, sort of like the popular message board of the past. Don’t know if I like this setup, might go back to the old one.
update : the chatbox isn’t running as smooth as I want so I took it down until I fine tune it.
Now that Itunes has incorporated podcasting, I have really gotten into it. I’ve gone to a few sites and sample some popular shows and some are actually damn funny. My favorite currently is Lunatic Radio. These are guys from Long Island who have about a 2 hour show once a week where they talk about anything and everything. They are always recommending other shows to check out as well. Some of the shows are very good and enjoyably fresh, sort of like the first time you heard Stern, Opie and Anthony or Imus. Check out podcasting if you happen to own and ipod, but even if you don’t you can use Itunes.
Baseball comes back from the All-Star break tomorrow and their is no better way to kick off the second half then Yanks/Sux. As bad as the Yankees have been at times this year, they find themselves only 2.5 games back and have 4 games in Boston this weekend. I think the struggles they have gone through have made them hungrier and probably brought them more together as a team then they have been in a long time. I actually expect the Yanks to buzz or hit a few Sox this weekend. Lord knows Ortiz is as comfortable as possible when he’s in the box against the Yanks pitching. I hope they finally put him on his fat ass this weekend. If the Yankees can get Pavano back healthy, I like their chances for winning the division.
The really good superhero movies, like “Superman,” “SpiderMan 2″ and “Batman Begins,” leave Fantastic Four so far behind that the movie should almost be ashamed to show itself in the same theaters.
My plan for seeing a bunch of summer movies doesn’t seem to be working out. My window has just about closed for seeing Cinderella Man and Batman Begins. I still plan on seeing War of the Worlds but stranger things have happened. Wedding Crashers is also on my list of hopefuls.
The Yankees are playing well again winning their 5th straight tonight. Don’t look now but they are only 3 games out of first. Jason Giambi is actually starting to become a worth member of the lineup again, homering for the 4th time in 3 games and raising his average to .274. The Yanks also called up and started their possible centerfielder of the next 1o years, in Melky Cabrera. He is only 20 but supposedly he is already the best outfielder on the current roster. They aren’t worried about his bat because he has hit at each level, but they are really hoping his defense will help them greatly. I like it so much more when the Yanks mix some youth (Wang, Cano, Cabera) with their veteran superstars. After the All-Star break, the Yanks travel to Boston for 4 games. Those will be huge.
Summer officially gets under way this weekend with the 4th of July. There will be plenty of beer and fireworks, maybe some boating, maybe some golf. I don’t work again until next Wednesday! Nothing beats not working!

It is finally summer like outside. As usual the temperatures went from consistently 60 to the upper 80’s with humidity in about 3 days time. So once again there basically was no spring. Who cares, I like the hot weather bee-yotch!
I’ve become obsessed with downloading stuff via bit-torrent. This week alone I’ve gotten the new Coldplay album (it’s awesome), the new Audioslave album, the first 2 episodes ever of Alias, the movie Constantine, the new Entourage episode (pretty weak), a Dave Chappelle concert on video, and mp3’s of a David Cross concert and finally Nero burning software. That’s a shitload. For some reason I can’t stop and I just have a list of crap ready to start downloading once the previous torrent is done. Jump on board with this bit-torrent, it’s great shit.
The Yankees actually broke out of their 2 week hitting slump tonight and crushed the Brewers. Before tonight they were 0 for 25 in their last 25 at-bats with the bases loaded and ahd lost 9 out of 10. That’s unbelievable! Most everyone is convinced they aren’t going anywhere this year, but I still think they are. For all of their trouble, they are still only 6 games out of first and that’s amazing considering how bad they have played. It’s a long summer so we’ll see. By the way A-Rod hit is 400th career homer tonight. It’s also worth noting that Matsui was actually given the day off, his first non-start since late 2003, but he had a 9th inning pinch-hit single.
The NBA Finals begin tomorrow night and it should be competetive but most likely boring, low scoring ugly basketball. My only hope is that the Pistons find a way to repeat because I can’t stand Duncan and that little annoyance Manu Ginoboli. To tell you the truth I don’t know anyone who has any interest in the NBA. Maybe that’s because noone knows what damn channel the games are on everynight!

I’ve come to believe that the Yankees get bored when they play the Royals and Devil Rays of the world.
After playing 10 games of highly competetive wiffleball in a 6 hour stretch this past weekend, in which my team lost zero games, I still can’t move without pain from somewhere on my body. Pathetic.
Downloaded the new Coldplay album for free after seeing that it leaked onto the net. I swear, the web rules, you can basically get any music, movies, television shows, software or games you want if you know where to look. The album is pretty good thus far by the way.
Without any sort of shows like ‘24′ or ‘Lost’ on right now, besides baseball, each night during the week is excruciating to get through.
Yankeees have passed those idiots from Boston and now have a chance to put some distance between them with a 3 game series this weekend at Yankee Stadium. I like the pitching matchups, so hopefully a sweep will take place for the Bombers.
How in the hell is it already June next week. This is what happens when everything is the same.
I wish I wasn’t working but playing golf and drinking all day. Damn it!
Finished the redesign. I don’t even know if I like it. Who cares. It will stick for a while. I think.
Have been strangely exhausted lately. I am basically in a coma when my alarm goes off. Good thing today is Friday.
Still haven’t seen Revenge of the Sith, maybe next week, maybe not. I’ve been hearing good things from friends who’ve seen it, so I probably won’t wait until the dvd. But I wouldn’t bet against it.
Can’t wait to have some ice cold brews this weekend.

Things have been pretty quite on this is for a few days now. Nothing much going on. I’ve basically been busy working and watching the Yankees win 10 straight. Even Giambino homered tonight. Somebody stop him! I’ll probably get back to posting regularly later this week. The links are still being updated though.
I have to go back to work tomorrow after being off since last Wednesday. It ain’t gonna be easy. I’m damn tired from an all-night cards-bars-cards session on Saturday and then today I got back to playing softball and am pretty damn tired as a result. Thankfully it’s a short week.
Yankees seem to be on the verge of turning it around the last few games. They have gotten some good starting pitching and have won 3 in a row. We’ll see. Nothing matters until they get back to .500.
24 was damn good again tonight. Only 2 hours left. Should be a good ending considering a nuclear missle is in the air heading towards a US city.
Supposed to go to the casino on Saturday but that plan could be in jeopardy because the punch in the face that will be the bill I get from the mechanic for my car should be coming any day now. Nightmare!
I’ve been thinking about redesigning this site, again. But instead I would bring back the style-chooser so the visitor would be able to pick which ever style they like. We’ll see, maybe this week.
After seeing a 5 minute clip of a battle scene from Kingdom of Heaven, I think I’m gonna see it now. Looked real good.
Short week for me, took this coming Thursday and Friday off. Hopefully my car problems will be resolved by then. Hoping to get in some golf one of the days. Was planning on going out for cinco de mayo, but I’m having second thoughts.
